"Right now I think, from seeing the doctor (last) Friday, if I had to say how long, I would say for sure another week from this weekend, being realistic," he said. Martin's grip strength in his left hand is currently around 75 percent of his right hand and the target strength to where he can be cleared is at 80 to 85.

Henril Zetterberg centered a line between Valtteri Filppula and Daniel Cleary in the session, while Drew Miller was moved between Todd Bertuzzi and Jason Williams on the third unit. "We need him to be better," Babcock said referring to Zetterberg. "That doesn't mean he has to carry the weight of the world around on his back. Just dig in and find a way to be better, to be harder. Hopefully as a coach I am putting him with players he needs to help him out."

However, he's turned his season around and has been playing like his point-per-game self for quite some time. If he stays healthy, Spezza is a good bet to reach the 80-point milestone next season.

Gaborik missed two straight games due to the injury, but he was able to play on Saturday and Sunday. He was held pointless on Saturday and coach John Tortorella said the Gaborik line "stunk," but the coach went onto say Gaborik was much more engaged on Sunday. Gaborik was able to rest on Monday and he said that helped him and he's improving.
